It's how I feel when up the hills in the Lakes. It's a sense of freedom, but a sense of reverence. You feel privilaged to be there, and the history of the place. It possibly like that hundreds of years ago.

I am not a world expert on this, but both my piano tuner and concert pianist friend rate a handful of German makes above all others. I am only interested in Upright Pianos for teaching/composing and quite like the look of makes: Sauter & Schimmel (Steinway is a bit pricey!) more…
